Terms of Service — Layerkins

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of layerkins.com and any services provided by Layerkins, a brand of Phillippo Ventures LLC, an Alabama limited liability company ("Layerkins," "we," "us," or "our"). By placing an order or using our site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.

1. About us

Layerkins is a custom 3D printing studio operated by Phillippo Ventures LLC. We design, print, and ship custom 3D-printed items including miniatures, figurines, gifts, and keepsakes. We're based in Birmingham, Alabama.

2. Orders and quotes

Quote requests are not binding orders. Pricing and timelines provided in a quote are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.
An order is confirmed when you approve the design proof (where applicable) and submit payment.
We reserve the right to refuse any order that conflicts with our policies or that we can't fulfill to a standard we're comfortable with.

3. Payment

Payment is required in full before production begins, unless we've explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.
All payments are processed through Stripe. We don't see or store credit card information.
Prices are in US dollars.

4. Custom work and your designs

When you provide artwork, photos, sketches, or 3D files to us, you confirm that you own the rights to those materials or have permission to use them. You grant us a license to use those materials solely to fulfill your order.

We won't print designs that infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of third parties. We may also decline to print designs that we consider obscene, hateful, or otherwise objectionable, at our sole discretion.

5. The nature of 3D-printed items

3D printing is a layer-by-layer process, and the results carry that signature:

Visible layer lines and minor surface variations are inherent to the process, not defects.
Colors may vary slightly from on-screen representations due to display calibration and material batches.
Each item is made to order; small variations between items are normal.

We'll always give you a realistic preview of what to expect before printing.

8. Intellectual property

The Layerkins name, logo, and original designs we create are our property. You may not use them for commercial purposes without written permission.

For original designs we create for your custom order, you receive a non-exclusive license to use the resulting physical item for your personal purposes. Unless agreed otherwise, we retain the right to use our original design work in our portfolio and marketing materials.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Layerkins (and Phillippo Ventures LLC) is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or products. Our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Jefferson County, Alabama.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
